HISTORY OF THE
ROTARY CLUB OF STA. MESA
The Rotary Club of Metro Sta. Mesa is the 52nd club in the District 3780 which took effect on April 4, 1990.
Since its chartering and through the effort and dedication of all the Past Presidents and members, the club has
been consistently recognized for its outstanding service and strong fellowship by the District.
The Club has a total of 27 members and mets regularly every Monday 8pm at the Solco Rm in the Rotary
Center. We have two sister clubs the ROTARY club of Maasin, Southern Leyte and the Rotary Club of GOA
Partido, Naga Camarines Sur.
We do a lot of Community Service through our Medical Missions at least three times a year, focusing on
Urology, Opthalmology, Dental Services and Family Care. We also have the Balik Pabahay, Palik Kabuhayan,
at Bacolor Pampanga. (Recipients are residents affected by Lahar). We do Sagip Mata a project that selects at
least two indigent patients a month for a free cataract operation. Our Club intends its Services for New
Generation via adopt a school and Interact Activities as another signature Project.
We develop our Public Image through Radio (Rotary Hour @DZAR 1026 AM & Radio Veritas). Print media,
Metro Bulletin, Facebook and Website. we have lots of Project together with our adopted Barangay, Barangay
Santol.
In our 25 years of existence we eventually earned a reputation in District 3780 as " The Quality Club."
